Introduction
Steady and Collaborative on top of the Strategist: you lead out loud, and you also think out loud, with people you trust. The plan gets better in conversation, and you'd rather have the argument at lunch than the surprise in a review.
Under pressure
Pressure usually slows you down first. You gather the people who know the part you don't, ask for the bad news before the good, and decide quickly after. It feels like momentum and is mostly listening. "Tell me the bad part first" is a sentence your team has heard you mean.
From outside you look at ease. From inside the stakes are registered and held, not felt as a flood, and the strain shows up later as a heavy evening rather than a bad one.
When something goes wrong
You pick up the phone, usually to someone who'll push back: a mentor, a partner, the friend who has run something bigger. You lay it out in order and ask what you're missing. You want the hole found now, not comfort.
Then you go back to the room with a plan and credit given where it came from, which people notice.
How the two fit
Of the four Strategists, yours is the door the team can walk up to. The cost: you're easy to approach and quick to decide, so your calendar becomes everyone's problem-solving room, and your own deep work moves to the evenings. It goes better when two hours a week are closed on purpose. The Steady, Restless and Heartfelt Strategists steer another way.
