Introduction
Sensitive and Self-reliant on top of the Poet: things reach you fast and fully, and you carry them yourself. It's two in the morning, your phone is face down, and you're typing in the notes app something you won't send, which is the truest thing you've written all week.
Under pressure
Pressure arrives whole. A harsh comment, a changed plan, a deadline, and the feeling is complete before the thought begins. You freeze for an hour, then work in a burst, then freeze again. It runs on weather, not a schedule.
From outside, you look quiet and slow, maybe distracted. Inside, it's a storm with the sound off, and you're also the one keeping the lights on.
When something goes wrong
When something goes wrong, you take it into the night. You write, play the same song, walk until the feeling has edges. You tell no one, partly because the words aren't ready and partly because you don't want to hand it over unfinished.
First you let it be as big as it is. Later, in daylight, it shrinks by itself, and you say "it was a rough week" and nothing more.
How the two fit
Of the four Poets, you live the feeling at full size and turn some into lines. The cost: held alone this long, a feeling becomes the landscape, and you pay in the perspective ten minutes with a friend would have given. The Quiet Poet files it in the notebook; the Sunday Poet reads it aloud; the Tender Poet sends it.
