Introduction
Steady and Self-reliant on top of the Climber: things take their time reaching you, and when they arrive, you don't reach for a phone. The warning light comes on at the far end of a long road, and you pull over, pop the hood and start, with no one on the line.
Under pressure
Pressure slows you down. Your hands get more careful, your sentences shorter, your attention narrower and cleaner. People who expect a flinch as proof you've understood don't get one. You have understood. You're already on the second step.
From outside, this looks like nothing is happening, so the urgent news tends to reach you after it reached everyone else. You deal with it anyway. What it took stays with you.
When something goes wrong
You tell nobody until it's sorted. Calling means describing, and describing means stepping away from the part you can actually do, so you stay on the part you can do. A bad week passes as a clean garage and a tired face.
The people close to you hear it afterward, in two lines. They would have held the light. Some of them were hoping to be asked.
How the two fit
Steady and alone makes you the one others lean on, and the one nobody checks on, because the calm hides the load. That's the price: a weight two could have lifted in half the time. The Roped Climber calls early, the Storm Climber carries a stormy one alone, the Bright Climber says it out loud. Yours is the climb with no rope.
